30000
square meters terminal area

On 30 November 2017, Perm International Airport “Bolshoye Savino” launched its new terminal. With its total area of 30,000 square meters, the new terminal has a capacity of 2 million passengers per year.

Scope of Partnership
  • Integrated security system
  • Passenger visual information system
  • Telephony system
  • LAN
  • Wi-Fi
About the Solution

The core of the integrated security system is comprised of solutions from Bosch. The terminal and the terminal square are equipped with 320 video surveillance cameras. The access control system (ACS) has 163 entry points and includes biometric identification at the “clean” zone entries. The cardkeys are based on a technology that prevents copying. There are also 350+ intrusion sensors and emergency buttons. BELTEL engineers have integrated all the security systems with the use of Bosch BIS platform and thus increased the capabilities of the airport’s security operations center. If an alarm comes, the system automatically engages the camera which is the nearest to the emergency site and starts streaming video from this camera to the dedicated monitor. In addition to the video, the dispatcher will see the corresponding emergency plan.

The airport data network comprises 1,500 active data ports and is based on Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) solutions. The network ensures reliable connectivity between all the systems, including airport employees’ workstations, voice communication terminals (telephony exchange), wireless data equipment (Wi-Fi), the ACS and video surveillance, support equipment and building utility lines and systems. There is also an HPE Aruba-based Wi-Fi network which covers all the operations areas of the airport.

The telephony system is based on solutions from AVAYA and provides voice connectivity to all the services of the airport.

Visual information is provided to the passengers by means of Samsung and Aeroinform displays and signage equipment. What is most remarkable is that thanks to the seamless integration of Aeroinform products with Tizen-based Samsung panels, the system can operate without external controllers.
