The need for upgrading TGC-1 telecommunication network was due to the fact that the existing infrastructure did not support SIP and, therefore, did not allow redundancy at the communication channel level. It was necessary to ensure smooth operation and availability of communication systems.
In the course of project implementation, which was completed in four stages, 34 communication systems making up a single network were upgraded. Each site has a dedicated system for engineering communication and another one for dispatch communication thus ensuring the highest level of reliability.
The project covered 18 TGC-1 sites with the total network capacity of 6,000 ports.
As a result of this project, TGC-1 has a modern telecommunication network which enables flexible routing of traffic with automatic switchover in the event of a failure.
